Farm to table Umbrian products
The Casa di Campagna is in fact also a small farm which houses farm animals and a large vegetable garden in the beautiful season, which you can admire in the back of the house; the culinary proposal of the holiday farm wants to be as close as possible to the territoriality of the place, respecting its times and peculiarities: homemade pasta, vegetables, jams, extravirgin olive oil…all is made with love and following the tradition.
Numerous are also the typical products of the Umbrian territory, starting from the various Slow Food presences, such as the Fagiolina del Lago Trasimeno, or the Norcia Black Truffle, the cheeses and typical butcher shops, and every small area of Umbria is characterised by its own excellences with the peculiarities that distinguish it.
The Trasimeno area, where the holiday farm is located, is characterised by an interesting mix of Umbrian and Tuscan traditions, with the possibility of tasting the characteristic fish products of Lake Trasimeno and Lake Chiusi in dishes whose recipes go back to time immemorable, like the Brustico, the Tegamaccio, or the Regina in porchetta. There really is something for everyone!
